In the late 1960's, when I was 18, I started going South with Gerald Minnehan from Beardsley, Minnesota, where I was born and raised. I worked as his crew foreman for 3 years. We ran Super 92's, with no cabs. It was hot and dusty work, but I fell in love with the combine business. In 1973, when I was 25, I started going South on my own, when Gerald retired. I bought 2 single axle trucks and 2 Massey Ferguson 510 combines. During the next 20 years, my wife and daughters and crew of men went South and cut for a lot of the same families that I had cut for when I first started. As we added more machinery and more crew members, we also added more customers. It is the customers that you see year after year, that makes this job so great. After running the Massey 510's for 15 years, we moved up to Massey 750's, then 850's. In 1999 we became "green" and switched to John Deere combines, which we currently still run. In 1995, my son-in-law became a partner in the business and we are now H&H Harvesting. We continue to cut for many of the same customers, year after year, and feel like we are at "home" in many of the communites that we vistit. We strive to take care of the customer and treat their fields, like they are our own. We take great pride in a job well done, and our history of repeat business can attest to that. We are currently running with:
